There are many different resources available to showcase your home without actually having people visit the property. New technology makes showings incredibly easy for sellers. Virtual/video or 3D/Matterport tours will allow potential buyers to tour your home virtually without the hassle of entering the property.  Additionally, providing details like floorplans can help buyers narrow down their choices more efficiently when looking at your home online.  After these initial steps, if the buyers still like the home, they can then ask for an in-person showing. 

Pre-qualifying buyers

To no surprise, most potential buyers want to see the property in-person if they are thinking about buying it. Pre-qualifying can help you determine which buyers are serious about making and fulfilling an offer for your home! When your agent prequalifies buyers, they can request a preapproval letter before allowing them to view the property.

You can also screen clients by requiring that they complete a COVID-19 questionnaire before touring the property in-person!

When agents are conducting showings at your property, it is advised that you incorporate several safety procedures to ensure the most safety for yourself and viewers. Here are some things you can do for showings:

  • Time limits on showings so more than one showing/group is not in the house at the same time
  • Providing masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer
  • Including “Please do not touch” signs
  • Keeping doors and windows open
